bloom beauty ambassador

Some of you may remember that a few  months back I got an awesome KGB deal for a website called Bloom. My good friend Britny alerted me about it and we both snatched one up quickly! After a few clicks through the website I was amazed I had never heard of it before. Think Ulta but online, with cash back, reviews, recommendations just for you, and more (you can even connect with your friends and see their purchases and feedback)! You can see my first Bloom order purchase in this beauty haul HERE

A little while later I was THRILLED to get an email from Bloom asking little ol' me to be among the first group of ladies to be a Bloom Beauty Ambassador! Of course being the total beauty junkie I am, and loving the discovery of Bloom I was ecstatic! They sent me my first Bloom Ambassador kit to test and review, and here are my thoughts!

I was really excited to get this because I adore any kind of masks, and this is a mask is big in Hollywood! There is something about a night in with a good magazine and face mask that just keeps a girl sane. After this mask my skin felt seriously like a babies. I even noticed some of my pores seemed cleared out a bit too, after just one use! Definitely going on my TO BUY beauty list!

I really loved the ingredients in this cleanser! Everything from brown sugar, almond oil, oat protein, ginger root and more! Also really loved that Befine prides itself in being free of allergens, fragrances, parabens, preservatives, vegan friendly, and never tested on animals. I really loved the cleanser but it's hard to tell with just one use if it really made a difference. That being said, it smelled delicious and the company mission is something I love and Befine is on my radar now!

Sara Happ Lip Scrub
This was an awesome full size scrub and it's AWESOME! I actually was thinking to myself recently how I need a new lip scrub since the last one I got was from Bath + Body works a few years back. I also saw this exact scrub on my beloved Zoe Report by Rachel Zoe, so I knew it was going to be great! I love the light almond flavoring and almost wanted to eat it. It definitely buffed my lips and gave me a perfectly pretty pout! I would absolutely recommend this to a friend!

Hint*Hint on Tuesday April 3rd on Bloom's Facebook they will be giving away some awesome Sara Happ products and all Bloom Beauty Ambassador's will be there live to answer member questions on exfoliation in respect to pre-makeup application. So stop by, say hi, and maybe win something too!

little loves

I have so much going on right now it has been really hard to keep up. I am finally moving back home so please excuse my less frequent postings recently. Don't you lovelies worry though because my blog birthday is just around the corner with a new blog look and a ton of giveaways for you! Speaking of giveaway's have you entered my latest one?

My dear friend Heather made me this yummy smoothie this week. It had a incredible amount of spinach but I couldn't even taste it! It was seriously delicious and great start to my day.The recipe was something like this...
2 Cups Spinach
1 Banana (Frozen)
1 Grapefruit, Peeled
1 Navel Orange, Peeled
2 Tbsp. Raw Honey
1/2 Cup Cold Water
6 Ice Cubes

Ordered both of these items this week from one of my favorite sites, Dorothy Perkins. I have my fingers crossed that the dress looks as good on as I imagine. The purse was too cute, and too affordable not to throw in.

The last of my three best friends birthday's was this week. To celebrate we went out for sushi, followed by The Hunger Games. It was a great evening.

Happy Birthday to Vidya! xoxo

Last but not least my favorite little boutique Noto announced their 4th Annual Fashion Show this week! This is a HUGE event for Akron fashionistas. Last year I had an amazing time at the show, and walked away with some pretty awesome swag! Space is limited and the show will sell fast so get your ticket now!

little loves

I sincerely apologize for the impromptu blogger break I took for the majority of this week.
I was feeling slightly under the weather, and exhausted. Other than not feeling 100%, I still had a good week.

I have been looking everywhere for my favorite Easter candy, Sweet Tarts: Ducks, Chicks, + Bunnies and failed to find them. Though they still aren't the exact ones I've been looking for my mom found these for me this week, and they are a great substitution.

I didn't go as over-board at Ulta this week as I thought I would. I did get the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation demo (and a free 10 day trail of the foundation), which I will be buying as long as my skin doesn't break out from it, LOVED IT! I also got the Tarte: Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara deal (normally $20, I got it for $10), a Gud body wash (been wanting to try this line), and 2 Ulta brand lip crayons (one in a pin-up red and another a bright rocker pink).

I love, no I am obsessed with Banana Cream Pie and I got to dig into a amazing slice of it this week. Worth every last calorie.

While browsing World Market with some friends, one of them said "I wonder if this really works? Lyndsey you should blog about it" so naturally I am! I have been drinking 2 cups of this tea for Clear Skin (from The Republic of Teas) everyday since. Haven't seen difference yet but it hasn't even been a week.

A blogger friend of mine's, friend (did you follow that?) posted about these adorable tennies from Target for only $9.99, so I just had to have a pair. Not in love with this outfit but I was feeling lazy and rushed. Think the pants and shoes would be really cute with a dressier tank.

Last but not least this week is an amazing proposal. My friend Dan took his beautiful girlfriend Jess to the park where they had thier first date, hid his friend Mike Ruhlin in the bushes (i'm not sure about that bushes part), and got down on bended knee. The real moments here are so wonderful and priceless. Congrats you two!

influenster: love vox-box

Some of you may or may not be familiar with the social company Influenster. Basically Influenster is an online community of trendsetters who earn "badges" based on their lifestyle and interests, which in turn qualify them to receive product shipments to review, and share their thoughts on. (My badges for example: Beauty, Youtuber, Blogger, CatLover, etc ) The really cool thing about Influenster is it is completely FREE and ANYBODY can join and earn badges. You are not selected by the number of badges you have but by the types of badges you have.

For example the first box I received was the Love Vox-Box which was themed for Valentine's and was shipped to females only (at least I'm pretty sure about that last part). There are mommy boxes, and bride-to-be boxes which obviously I won't qualify for. I do know they are planning an upcoming Spring Beauty Vox-Box, so hopefully I will qualify and receive that one!

If you're someone who likes to try new brands, and give feedback on them to your friends on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Etc then you should join in on the fun!

Anyway back to my FIRST box, the Love Vox-Box which held:

Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate (to share with someone you love, which I did not. Ate it ALL myself)
Seriously I'm not a big chocolate lover (I'd chose Swedish Fish over Chocolate any day) but I could not stop eating this bar! I was so happy it wasn't dark chocolate (bleh). I shouldn't have been so surprised by it's creamy amazing deliciousness because Ghirardelli is the only brownie mix I buy.

Stash Herbal Tea Sampler
I'm a big tea lover so there was no convincing needed here. Stash is a very popular brand in terms of tea so I knew they would be yummy! My favorite is the good old stand-by Chamomile.

Truvia The Natural Sweetener
Um YUM! I already love and adore Truvia and this was the cutest little box of it I have ever seen. I always need one packet of sweetener in my tea and Truvia doesn't make me feel so guilty. Sugar never makes it sweet enough, and you can't tell the difference between Truvia and artificial sweeteners. I also got a coupon for Truvia which I will be putting to use of course.

Gillette Venus + Olay Razor
I am ALWAYS in need of a new razor. I have to switch razors often because as soon as they get even the slightest bit dull my skin freaks out, so I was very happy to see this in my box! I am a big fan of Olay so I knew this would be a nice products, and I was right! Does the job, close shave, no bumps :)

Kiss Nail Dress Manicure
I was really excited to try this product because I adore the Sally Hansen strips and wondered how these compared. I was also happy about the pattern I received because I think a lot of polish strip designs are tacky. Honestly these strips were easier to apply than the Sally and came with many more size options. I am curious to see if they can hold up as long as the Sally strips can though. I will let you know via my Facebook.

Aren't they cute?!
ignore my short ugly nails.

*I received these products free of charge for review purposes.

little loves

Hello there lovelies! Hope all of you had a wonderful week! As always I kept mine pretty low key and boring, but I always have some little loves that make it a bit more exciting! I met with my graphic designer again this week and the blog make-over is coming along nicely! Let's just say it's going to be beautiful! It will be "un-veiled" on April 10th when this little blog turns the big number ONE! EEEP! Prepare yourself for some nostalgia because I am already having mommy moments ;)

My mom picked up these adorable little ice cream cups and I was taken back to bible school days. Anyone else eat ice cream out of little clear cups with wooden sticks? This ice cream came with a little red spoon in the lid!

Got a nice little surprise from Allure this week. They sent me some goods from Vichy for being an Allure Expert. I love free goodies!

I had been looking for the new Essie spring collection everywhere and finally found it this week at Target! Snatched the color I was after, "a crewed interest", it's a wonderful peach sorbet kinda color. Perfect for spring! I wish my blogger friend Charlotte lived by me and I would paint her nails (she's got amazing nails) and take a picture of it on for you. My nails are rough, but I'm working on them!

EEEP! My Teen Vouge BB should be here Monday and I can hardly wait! The spoiler photos have been released and all the Teen Vouge boxes have a full size Essie Lux Effects, and either full size Tarte Lip Stain, which you lovelies know I am OBSESSED with, or possibly a Fresh balm, which I have wanted to try forever! So excited! I LOVE BB!

Ok beauty lovers, are you sitting down? TODAY Ulta's 21 days of beauty starts and I am so ready! Basically from now until March 31st Ulta will be hosting special events/demos at all of thier locations from some of the biggest brands in beauty, and we are talking high end. So far I have 2 days I want to attend, March 17th will have a Benefit demo with the new "Hello Flawless" foundation I have been wanting to try, as well as demos from Urban Decay, Clarisonic, and Philosophy. And then on March 27th there is a Bliss demo, which I'm interested in as well. I am unsure if you need to call and make an appointment for theses demos, or if they are lasting all day but a quick call to your nearest Ulta will surely get you some answers. Check out the 21 Days of Beauty page to see a list of all the events.

Did you think that was all, guess again! Now for the cherry on top of a perfect beauty sundae, everyday from now until the 31st Ulta will also be running an amazing "beauty steal" that will last that day only. They haven't released on the site yet what the steals will be but a lovely lady named Laura who commented on this Nouveau Cheap post was kind enough to share with us what the Ulta AD in the mail said.

Thanks Laura!

I am for sure getting the Tarte: Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara because I have a sample size right now and I love it. I might even get 2! I am interested in the Pur Minerals, Mineral Glow but don't have my heart set on it. The last "steal" I really want is the Benefit, Prrrowl Mascara + Lipstick Combo. I will try and order offline but might head to my store as well. It's still unclear what time the "steals" will be up for grabs online, but they will go fast!

Do you have you eye on any of the "steals"?
Planning on going to any of the Demo's?

what to wear

This series is brought to you by Levi’s® Curve ID. Find your custom fit at Levi’s® stores or Levi.com .

Hello there all you lovely ladies! I had a blast putting this post together and I can officially say now I am addicted to Polyvore! This is a triple threat "what to wear" post based all around the always trendy wardrobe staple, jeans! The most amazing thing about jeans is that they can be styled so many different ways. They can be dressed up or down, preppy or punky, sexy or sweet, and everything in between!

So here goes 3 totally different looks, for 3 totally different occasions all styled around the same pair of jeans! And before we jump into the outfits let's talk about these jeans and how amazing they are! Personally I was never really a jeans girl up until about a year ago when I finally found the right fit for me, and now I finally understand having a favorite pair of jeans. Levi's® took your favorite pair of jeans to a whole other level by introducing Curve ID. Head on over to Levi's® site and take this short quiz about your body type, and Levi's® will pick out your perfect CURVE ID. And yep you guessed it, these great versatile jeans below are of course a Levi's® Curve ID jean.

date night- dinner + a show

You may remember my post a while back about what to wear on a blind date. If you read my rules there, then you already know that men don't like loud, flashy jewelry, but they do however like color so I kept both those rules in mind when styling this look. The bow blouse is so feminine and the perfect plunge without screaming "look at me", and the lace detail adds a little extra intrigue. The shoes, clutch, and jacket (restaurants and theaters are notoriously cold) bring in all the right pops of color and fun to an otherwise drab color scheme. The jewelry is kept simple, classy, and low maintenance for those boring boys ;)

flea market + running errands

A running errands, Saturday outfit is always my favorite kind to dress for, so styling this was a total breeze for me. Pastels are huge this spring so I wanted to play up that trend in this look. There is nothing better to me than a girl pulling off a pair of jeans and a boyfriend style pocket tee. It is so effortlessly stylish and chic especially when you add the right accessories. Some of the things I made sure to keep in mind when styling this look were comfortable shoes, a cross body bag so your hands are free, a watch for time (important for errands), simple jewelry (adore the little pastel hearts on the necklace), sunglasses, and a scarf for warmth.

girls night + summer winery

There is this amazing little winery where I live that gets packed during the summer. They serve wine and pizza on the patio over-looking the vineyard and it is always the perfect backdrop for a ladies night. I went with flats because with wineries, you never know what kind of terrain you'll be walking through. I love the sweet summery flow of this top, but added a warm leather jacket for those chilly summer nights. This clutch is the perfect way to bring in some more color and pull out the pinkish roses. I really adored this cuff and what it added to the outfit but because it is such a statement piece, I kept the rest of the jewelry understated.

I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

So what do you lovelies think of these looks?
Which looks most "YOU"?
What other occasions would you wear one of these to?
