new years resolutions

My good friend Kaylee shared with her friends on Facebook her 2012 resolutions. What was different about hers was that she made one for each month. Because let's face it most of us can't keep up with a year long resolution, or we get too intimidated before we even try. The really genius idea to making one for each month is that more than likely you're not just going to stop the kick ass fitness plan you've been working all month because it's over. So even though my January goal is to attend at least one yoga class a week, by Febuary hopefully I will be used to doing it and therefor keep at it.

Anyway I totally stole her idea and made a resolution for each month. Things I have wanted to do for years now and just never get around to them. I also have a few year long resolutions, and some top secret blog resolutions too!

Do you lovelies have any resolutions? I would love to hear them!

What do you think about a resolution for each month?

  1. I LOVE how all of your goals are based on fun things. I would love to do all of them!

I listed mine here: http://bit.ly/rebresolutions They are kind of funny. I go really nuts over goal keeping. I have to-do lists for each day, goals for each month, and yearly resolutions. How I do it is I make them contingent on each other. The goals for the day are part of or help my goals for the month and with each monthly goal I become closer to my yearly goal. I also follow the SMART goals system.... http://bit.ly/beSMARTaboutgoals

I'M NUTS! lol. I do think monthly goals are a good idea though. I can't wait to see how everything goes!

  3. Thats a great idea, makes it much less intimidating! I'm really bad at keeping resolutions so maybe this would be a good way for me to go.

  8. Setting monthly goals is an excellent way to stay on track. I started to set monthly goals when I realized my "to-do" lists were becoming more like project lists. I now keep two lists, one for regular to dos and one for monthly projects that I sometimes break down into weekly projects. It really keeps me focused and feels so great when I cross them off. I figured, we set monthly goals at work, why not do this in my own life? I like your print pictures goal, that's one goal I just can't seem to accomplish!
